Ranveer Singh’s Zombie Thriller ‘Pralay’ Stars THIS Actress Who’s Making Her Bollywood Debut

The actor reportedly walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and headed straight to shoot Jai Mehta’s theatrical debut, Pralay. The zombie actioner is expected to be his next blockbuster as the upcoming film has already begun to draw significant attention from fans and movie buffs.

According to the latest reports and speculations, Lokah actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has been selected as the leading lady opposite Ranveer Singh. The rumor mill is running at lightning speed while the makers are yet to reveal the film’s details and casting choices.

Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is expected to make her Bollywood debut with Ranveer Singh in the upcoming horror thriller. Reports suggest that the film is visualised as a large-scale, high-concept zombie actioner. It might explore a human story of survival and sacrifice in a post-apocalyptic world. With extensive VFX and world-building, the zombie drama is already assumed as Singh and Priyadarshan’s biggest film of their career. 

Talking about Kalyani, she gained recognition through Lokah for her role in one of India’s most notable supernatural productions. She has earned several accolades and contributed to plenty of successful films belonging to varied genres, including Thallumaala, Hridayam, Maanaadu, and Varane Avashyamund. Through Pralay, the actress may gain further recognition in Bollywood. 

Helmed by Jai Mehta, the production of the most anticipated film is expected to begin later this year. Reportedly, the film will be mounted on a considerable budget and will begin filming in April 2026. The director had previously worked on series like Lootere and co-directed the critically acclaimed show Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. Interestingly, Pralay is not only going to introduce Kalyani Priyadarshan to Bollywood but also mark the Dhurandhar actor’s debut as a producer.
