Ranabali Release Date Out: Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna’s Period Drama to Hit Theatres in October

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-awaited period drama, “Ranabali,” is all geared up to hit the theatres on Oct. 16, 2026. Since its announcement, teaser, and poster reveals, the film has sparked a buzz among fans and cinephiles. Now that the makers have unveiled the film’s release date, their excitement is at its peak. 

Helmed by Rahul Sankrityan and bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under their Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film is reportedly one of the high-budget films in Vijay Deverakonda’s career.

Set against the backdrop of the 19th century, “Ranabali” draws inspiration from real historical incidents that took place between 1854 and 1878 during British rule. Since the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika, the film has generated significant expectations across the country as it marks their first on-screen collaboration post-marriage. 

Ranabaali was earlier scheduled to hit the cinema halls on Sept. 11. However, the makers are now raising the curtains during the festive occasion of Navratri and Dusseraha. According to reports, Rashmika’s injury delayed the shoot. Now that she is recovering, the shooting is back on track. 

The makers announced a new release date of this most-anticipated drama and treated the fans of VIROSH with a fresh poster featuring Vijay Deverakonda. The caption of the post read, “The darkest chapter of our history opens this October. #Ranabaali GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 16.10.26.”
