Ranabaali BTS Unveiled: Take a Look at Rashmika Mandanna’s Impressive Transformation as Jayamma

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are stealing headlines right from the day they tied the knot in February. Be it their post-wedding rituals and celebrations or their upcoming movie, Ranaballi, everything is buzzing. On April 5, Rashmika Mandanna rang in her 30th birthday, and her beau, Vijay, wished her most unexpectedly. He dropped a BTS video of Rashmika dressing up as Jayamma. The BTS video was originally unveiled by the makers of the film.

For the unversed, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna will be sharing space on-screen for the first time after their wedding. Helmed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali is a Telugu-language historical drama slated to hit the silver screens on September 11, 2026. The film is positioned as a grand 19th-century period drama. Vijay will be portraying the role of Rowdy Janardhana, while Rashmika, starring opposite him, essays the role of Jayamma.

On the special occasion of Rashmika’s birthday, husband Vijay took to his Instagram to re-share a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video from their upcoming film Ranabaali, originally released by its makers, showcasing Rashmika’s transformation into her character, Jayamma. Along with the video, he wrote “I love you Jayamma 🙂“.

The BTS clip captures Rashmika’s impressive transition. Beginning with her greeting the team and moving through moments of discussion and preparation for her character’s look, the sneak peek is indeed a glimpse of her commitment to work. Produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under Mythri Movie Makers, in association with T-Series, the film will be released in September. 

Alongside Rashmika and Vijay, the film stars international actor Arnold Vosloo in a key role. Technically, it is the couple’s third project together. The birthday post from the film’s team described Rashmika as someone who “paints the world with her charm and radiant smile.” No sooner did the makers unveil the BTS video than fans flooded the comment section with warm wishes and excitement for the couple’s comeback to theatres.
