Ramayana Release Date OUT: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash’s Mythological Drama to Arrive in November

Sony Pictures Entertainment has finally unveiled the release date of “Ramayana”. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, and others, the mythological epic is slated to hit theaters on Nov.6, 2026, during the festive occasion of Diwali. The second installment will be released next year.

Ranbir Kapoor Reveals How He Played Lord Ram in Ramayana at San Diego Comic-Con 2026

The first part features Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The saga will explore Rama and Sita’s life during their exile and the events that follow Sita’s abduction by Ravana, played by Yash. The mythological epic eventually sets the stage for the confrontation between Rama and the Lankan king, with the makers mounting the familiar epic on a global scale, targeting both Indian and international audiences. 

Ramayana Locks November 6 As its Release Date

Bankrolled by Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. Since the announcement, poster, teaser, and first trailer were released, the film has sparked buzz online, leaving fans and movie enthusiasts intrigued about what’s in store. The earlier sneak peek shared by the makers in July offered a look at its elaborate recreation of the epic world, including large-scale battles, mythological weapons and the conflict between Rama and Ravana.

Alongside the leads, “Ramayana” also features Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Now that the makers have locked in Diwali as the release date, fans and the Indian audience are incredibly excited for what’s coming their way. Diwali is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in the Hindu calendar, which marks the return of Rama to his kingdom of Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and his victory over Ravana. This year, it is all the more special as cinephiles get to witness Ranbir Kapoor as Ram on the silver screen.
