Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, “Ramayana” has minted Rs 64.85 crore net and Rs 77.50 crore in India by running across 25,200 shows. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, it has registered 36 percent occupancy on the first day. Overseas, the film has grossed Rs 50 crore, pushing its total worldwide collection to Rs 127.50 crore.
As it enters day 2 and approaches the festive weekend, the numbers are expected to escalate. Today, as of 12.45 PM IST, the film has already collected Rs 8.55 crore net and Rs 10.09 crore gross by running across 8,428 shows. In a nutshell, so far, the film has earned Rs 87.59 crore in India in multiple languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Mounted on a Rs 4000 crore budget, “Ramayana Part 1” is touted to be the most ambitious film Indian cinema has ever seen. Its second installment will release in Diwali 2028.
