Ram Charan’s Peddi Release Postponed Yet Again, Makers to Lock New Date Soon
Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has been pushed for the third time. Originally, the drama was supposed to arrive in theatres on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday. However, it was postponed to April 30, 2026. And now, the makers have once again pushed its release date. On April 15, they announced their decision to push the release to June to give the post-production team some more time to deliver results to perfection.
After weeks of speculation, the makers finally put an end to the rumour mill. Headlined by Ram Charan alongside Janhvi Kapoor, the sports drama boasts a stellar cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles.

Bankrolled by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in association with Mythri Movie Makers, the sports drama is helmed by Buchi Babu Sana. On Wednesday, the production house Vriddhi Cinemas took to its social media timelines to issue an official statement on the film’s release date. The announcement read, “Firstly, thank you all for the wonderful response to our songs and glimpses. We’re truly happy to see the love and excitement for ‘Peddi’. The talkie part of the film is complete, and we only have one song left to be shot. We’ve seen the edit of the film, and we’re extremely happy with the output.” It further added, “With such great content in our hands, we want to present it in the best possible way. For that, we feel it’s important to give our technicians and post-production team a little more time to bring out their best with absolute perfection. It is our duty to give you nothing but the best theatrical experience. So, we’ve decided to push the release of the film to June.”
While the makers extended their deepest gratitude to fans and the audience for their unwavering support and love, they mentioned that the exact date of release would be revealed soon. Fans and movie buffs now await the film’s grand premiere. Meanwhile, the teaser, trailers, and songs have already created a strong buzz across communities and fan pages. For the unversed, the first single, Chikiri Chikiri crossed 200 million views across platforms, all credits to the signature touch and magic of legendary singer AR Rahman. To amplify the momentum, the makers released the second track, Rai Rai Raa Raa. Undoubtedly, the high-energy number garnered over 47 million views on YouTube.
