The film, releasing on July 17, 2026, explores the chilling consequences of a borrowed life as the protagonist struggles to survive and reclaim his identity.

Helmed by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, John Leguizamo, Samantha Morton, Jon Bernthal, and Mia Goth. The epic action drama, releasing on July 17, is set against the backdrop of the Trojan War. The story revolves around King Odysseus’ decade-long voyage across treacherous seas to reunite with his wife, Penelope, and his son, Telemachus. In Ithaca, his kingdom and family are besieged by arrogant suitors demanding Penelope’s hand in marriage, forcing Odysseus and Telemachus to devise a plan to reclaim their home.

Headlined by Malavika Nandan, Avinash, and Seema G. Nair, Achyuta Avataaram follows the story of Achyuta, a young woman whose life is devastated by a devastating, highly sophisticated global scam. When the scam people trouble her village, she refuses to back out and decides to fight back. The plot is centered on her transformation as she masters the digital space to avenge the threat of online fraud. The film will be hitting the theatres on July 17, 2026.

Another South movie that has piqued the audience’s interest is Varavu, which will arrive in cinemas on July 16. Featuring Joju George, Arjun Ashokan, Murali Gopy, Baiju Santhosh, and Baburaj, the film follows the story of a man who returns to his hillside town years later to exact retribution after a powerful elite previously victimized his family.
