Peddi Release Date Postponed: Ram Charan And Janhvi Kapoor Starrer Pushed to Avoid Clash with Dhurandhar 2 And Toxic

The 2026 box office has seen fierce competition from new releases. Right from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar to Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3, the storm doesn’t seem to slow down anytime soon. With back-to-back releases being announced, now makers fear that their films might fail to garner the attention they deserve. One such film that has postponed its release date is Peddi. 

Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s sports action drama Peddi was supposed to hit the theatres on March 27, 2026. However, March 19 marks the release of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Yash starrer, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. Both highly anticipated movies will compete against each other at the box office. Hence, the makers of Peddi pushed the release.

On February 5, Buchi Babu Sana, the director of Peddi, took to social media to announce the new release date. Coming out as a surprise for cinema goers and fans, the movie will now hit theatres on April 30, 2026, instead of March 27. 

Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic’s buzz have impacted the release of fresh films. For a couple of days, the rumor mill hinted at a May 1 release, but the film is arriving a day early. Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the big-ticket entertainer will cast Shiva Rajkumar, Divvyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers, the actioner features music by the legendary artist AR Rahman.

Following Peddi’s postponement, the makers of Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh’s starrer Dacoit, too, have come up with a new release date. Stay tuned to The News Man for more such updates!
