Ram Charan’s Peddi has completed its theatrical run, and now the film is all geared up for its digital debut. Scheduled to stream on Netflix from July 9, the news has left the global audience ecstatic. For the unversed, the sports drama has achieved worldwide collections of Rs 338.98 crore, collecting Rs 286.08 crore net in India and Rs 52.90 crore from the overseas market. After emerging as a massive box office success, Ram Charan is all buckled up to entertain its audience once again through the comfort of their own homes.
On the first day of its much-anticipated release, Peddi raked in Rs 60.66 crore at the box office with 45.5 occupancy. Its week 1 collection stands at Rs 193.55 crore, while in the second week, it closed its earnings at Rs 34.45 crore. The following week, it added another Rs 9.37 crore, and in the fourth week, it collected Rs 4.11 crore. This way, the film’s net collection in India stood at Rs 242.03 crore.
On July 3, the OTT giant and the film’s production banner took to their official social media timelines to announce the film’s digital debut exclusively on Netflix. Now that the audience is waiting for the film’s debut, it is expected to seize first position in the most-watched list.
Alongside Ram Charan, Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The ensemble cast includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, among others, in pivotal roles. Last but not least, with the music and background score composed by Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman, the film has undoubtedly struck the right chords with the audience.
