Patriot Trailer Revealed: Mohanlal and Mammootty Come Together for an Explosive Mission

Mammootty and Mohanlal’s Patriot is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film is slated to release on April 23, 2026. On Saturday, the makers unveiled a fresh trailer, promising an intense, action-heavy ride. The Malayalam superstars team up for a high-stakes mission. The 3-minute-32-second-long trailer gives a glimpse of the film’s plot and high-octane narrative. 

For the unversed, the makers had pushed the release a few days ago. The official statement read, “We are working hard to bring Patriot to you at the highest possible quality. However, due to a combination of unforeseen circumstances, it has become necessary to postpone the film’s release from the previously scheduled date of April 23 by a few days.“

Patriot Trailer OUT: What to Expect? 

Patriot’s trailer revolves around cybercrime through a covert surveillance conspiracy. The trailer kicks off with Nayanthara’s character encouraging Sreeparvathy’s character to make honest confessions about something against those who crucify her. Revathi portrays the role of a high-ranking minister, asks Rajiv Menon, “Do you think it is fair to use a software authorised during my term for a civilian case?” He is a Shakti Solutions representative, doing a presentation about the Samaj Seva software. The software malfunctions, as it interferes with civilian life. Subsequently, Mammootty’s character, Daniel, goes rogue, seemingly in search of the mysteries behind the software program. 

With Mammootty playing a retired officer, Dr Daniel James, who gets falsely framed for treason, he looks to an old friend, a soldier, for support. Essayed by Mohanlal, the trailer shows the two central characters out on a mission to ensure national security.

Alongside the lead, the film also stars Nayanthara, Kunchacko Boban, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathy in key roles. It is indeed intriguing to watch Mammootty and Mohanlal team up for a covert mission.
