Parineeti Chopra to Headline Netflix’s Reporting Live, Investigative Thriller to Stream Next Month
After Netflix’s “Shaque Trust No One,” Parineeti Chopra is back with another thriller titled “Reporting Live.” On Monday, the OTT giant took to its official social media handles to unveil the first look poster of the investigative thriller and announce its release date. Starring Parineeti Chopra, along with Deven Bhojani, Amol Palekar, Adil Hussain, and Shekhar Suman, the drama will premiere on Oct. 9, 2026, only on Netflix.
Helmed by Dhruv Tripathi, written by Mihir Jadhav and Dhruv Tripathi, the saga chronicles the journey of an ambitious young reporter and her experienced cameraman, navigating through the murky world of illegal sand mining. Here’s what more you can expect from the upcoming release.
Netflix’s Reporting Live to Stream in October
“Reporting Live” is a high-stakes investigative thriller where a ruthless sand mafia has every reason to keep its business, and the crimes surrounding it, out of sight. The captivating first look poster has left the audience intrigued about what happens when the pursuit of a story gets far too close to the people who don’t want it told.
Bankrolled by Partha Kiran Thakur and Joshua Shirsath, the thriller follows the journey of one dedicated reporter and her cameraman as they dig into a dangerous illegal sand-mining racket, and the deeper they go, the harder it becomes to get out.
Talking about “Reporting Live,” the director Dhruv Tripathi shared, “It feels incredibly special to finally announce Reporting Live. I’ve lived with this film for seven years, from writing it with Mihir to bringing it to the screen, so seeing it ready to go out into the world is quite surreal. I wanted to make a thriller that feels grounded and real, while never losing sight of the ordinary people at the heart of the story.” Speaking about working closely with an industry stalwart, he opened up, stating that he has been incredibly fortunate to work with a wonderful cast and crew who brought so much to the film. “I’m really excited for audiences around the world to experience it on Netflix,” he concluded.
On the other hand, producer Partha Kiran Thakur shared that the stakes are high, both in the story and in the scale of its execution. He said, “We had a very clear vision for this film, and it has been incredibly fulfilling to see that vision come to life through such a powerful ensemble. Bringing together actors from different generations was one of the most exciting aspects of the process. We’re particularly thrilled to see Parineeti Chopra and Deven Bhojani come together on screen in a pairing audiences have never seen before, portraying characters that are unlike anything they have played previously.” Audiences now await “Reporting Live” to stream on Netflix, starting Oct. 9, 2026.
