O’ Romeo Box Office Collection Day 1: Shahid Kapoor & Triptii Dimri Romance Drama Opens With Over Rs 8 Crore

O’Romeo has finally hit the big screens, and there could have never been a better start to Valentine’s Day. Featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, this romantic drama has captivated attention with its soul-stirring melodies, compelling trailers, and intriguing first looks. Since the teaser reveal, fans and movie fanatics have been eagerly waiting for its theatrical release. Considering the pre-booking sales and early box office numbers, the film was expected to perform well. The much-awaited film raked in Rs 8.25 crore net and Rs 9.90 crore gross on the first day of its release.

Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri have clearly stolen the show with their electrifying chemistry in O’ Romeo. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the romance-action drama recorded an overall theatrical occupancy of 14.86 percent. With a total of 4,826 shows, the film has surpassed the day one box office collections of movies like Deva, which collected Rs 5.50 crore, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which raked in Rs 6.70 crore, and Jersey, which minted Rs 3.2 crore. 

Released ahead of Valentine’s Day, the film might escalate its earnings over the weekend. As of early records, it has already collected Rs 8 lakhs on day 2. Described as a fast-paced, mass-oriented entertainer, it blends romance with action. Alongside the lead actors, the movie also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia in key roles.

Nonetheless, the movie competes with Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor’s Tu Yaa Main at the box office. The romance drama collected just Rs 55 lakhs on its first day. The numbers make it quite evident that the Shahid Kapoor starrer is dominating the box office
