New Films And OTT Releases This Week (Aug 10 to Aug 16)

1. Awarapan 2 

Starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, and more in the key roles, “Awarapan 2” will hit the theatres on Aug. 14, 2026. Helmed by Nitin Kakkar, the romantic actioner follows the saga of Shivam, a loyal outlaw haunted by his past and working for a powerful boss in Hong Kong. His life changes when he is assigned to watch over Reema, a young woman desperate to escape her troubled past.

2. The End of Oak Street

Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella, and Christian Convery bring to you “ The End of Oak Street.” Scheduled to arrive in theatres on Aug. 14, the survival thriller revolves around the Platt family who later discover that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their current unrecognizable surroundings.

3. Batwara 2

Featuring Sunny Deol, Preity G. Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol, Abhimanyu Singh, Khhushi Hajare, Kanikka Kapur in pivotal roles, Aamir Khan Productions’ “Batwara 1947” is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The period drama directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is set against the backdrop of 1947. It chronicles the journey of individuals grappling with displacement, identity, and the loss of their homes. The film releases on Aug. 14, the Partition Day.

4. Reacher Season 4 

The action drama features Alan Ritchson, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, Sydelle Noel and more in pivotal roles. Slated to arrive on Prime Video on Aug. 12, 2026, the audience is waiting to binge-watch the fourth installment directed by Sam Hill and Gary Fleder. The drama follows a chance, tense encounter of Reacher with a stranger on a subway train that pulls him into a lethal web of mystery.

5. The Traitors S2 

Hosted by Karan Johar, “The Traitors Season 2” is all set to begin streaming on Prime Video, starting from Aug. 13, 2026. With 21 celebrity contestants, the season is built on suspense and psychological strategy. The trust quickly becomes a novelty, with hidden Traitors secretly working to eliminate innocents while protecting their own identities.

6. My Brilliant Career 

Netflix’s upcoming romance drama stars Judy Davis, Sam Neill, and Wendy Hughes in the key roles. Slated to stream from Aug. 13, 2026, the drama is set in late 19th-century Australia. It chronicles the journey of Sybylla, who grows up on a struggling farm. She goes to live with her wealthy grandmother to refine her manners. However, she catches the eye of a rich neighbor and finds herself in a fix to choose between love and an independent career of her dreams.
