“Mirzapur: The Movie” is all set for a solid start. Scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, advance ticket sales began on Aug 31, leading to an enthusiastic response from audiences in the first 24 hours. As of now, the Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal-starrer has sold over 68.12K tickets, which means the gangster actioner will be witnessing a Rs. 20 crore-plus opening on its premiere day.
The movie sold around 30,000 tickets in the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis. This marks the first major theatrical outing for the popular franchise, which has built a massive fan base through its OTT run. On the first day, over 15,000 users have shown interest in the film on the ticket booking platform, Book My Show.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Hindi version dominates over 99.9 percent of total advance sales and show allocations. In a nutshell, the total advance booking gross without block seats stood at Rs 2.06 crore, while the gross collections including the block seats are Rs 3.40 crore.
“Mirzapur: The Movie” stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Rasika Duggal, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chaddha, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Abhishek Banerjee, and others in pivotal roles. Additionally, it also welcomes newcomers like Ravi Kishan, Mohit Mallik, Sushant Singh, Jitendra Kumar, and Sonal Chauhan. On Sept.4, the film will be locking horns with multiple releases, including Jagamae Sangeetham, Jeevan Bheema Yojana, Dhamaal 4, The Magic Faraway Tree, Black Box, and Onslaught.
