Nearly two decades later, Hannah Montana will headline a special. Slated to stream on March 24, 2026, on Disney +, it is filmed in front of a live studio audience. Hosted by Alex Cooper, the visual treat will feature an exclusive, in-depth interview. 

The original series, Hannah Montana, ran between 2006 and 2011. It followed the story of teenager Miley Stewart. A role played by Cyrus, the narrative chronicles around a balanced ordinary school life of Miley with a secret identity as pop star Hannah Montana. Here’s what to expect from the special episode!

Disney+ announced the major comeback of Hannah Montana. The 20th Anniversary Special will be a conversation diving into the creation of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters and the lasting impact the show and character have had on fans around the world. Expected to be a heartfelt nostalgia, Cyrus will reminisce about the best moments, music, and memories that defined an era.

Talking about her comeback, Miley Cyrus shared, “Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I’ll always be thankful for that connection. The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I’m very proud of. This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.” Moreover, the global audience will be treated to never-before-seen archival footage, plus recreations of iconic sets like the Stewart family’s living room and Hannah’s legendary closet.
