Michael OTT Release OUT: MJ Biopic, Starring Jaafar Jackson, to Arrive on JioHotstar, Here’s WHEN!

Jaafar Jackson’s “Michael” has completed its theatrical run and is now all geared up for its digital debut. It is set to arrive on OTT in India from Aug. 29, 2026, on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar. The biopic will be streaming in two languages, including English and Hindi. 

Sharing the exciting news on social media feeds, the OTT platform shared a captivating teaser with a caption that read, “Every legend has a beginning. This is the beginning of the legend. Celebrate the moves that took over the world, the music that defined generations, and the journey behind it all. Michael streams from 29th August onwards on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar. Available in English & Hindi.”

Helmed by Antoine Fuqua, “Michael” makes its OTT premiere on the special occasion of Michael Jackson’s birth anniversary, allowing fans to reminisce about the extraordinary journey of the King of Pop. 

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the biographical drama has grossed over $1.02 billion worldwide. Talking about its box office collection in India, the film raked in Rs 71.09 crore.

Besides Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, the film also boasts a stellar cast that includes Nia Long, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Laura Harrier, Jessica Sula, Mike Myers, Miles Teller and Colman Domingo in pivotal roles. The film follows the journey of MJ and explores the formative years of Michael Jackson and how he became one of the biggest music icons in the world.
