Main Vaapas Aaunga Trailer Unveiled: What to Expect?

On May 19, the makers of Main Vaapas Aaunga dropped an invigorating trailer offering a glimpse of its romance-fueled world. Reuniting the legendary trio of A.R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Imtiaz, a creative synergy that has given Indian cinema some of its most unforgettable melodies, including the ones released so far from this film. 

Talking about the trailer, Imtiaz Ali shared, “What have we left behind? What is the love that we carried in our hearts when we crossed the river of time? Main Vaapas Aaunga is a personal story of love and longing which remained in someone’s heart for 78 years after the partition of the country. He further added that the film is also an echo of hundreds of stories that he heard from the veteran generation of the partition era. Moreover, the romance drama traces back the dots from a contemporary lens of a dynamic generation. 

Bankrolled by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, along with Mohit Choudhary, Shibasish Sarkar of Window Seat Films, the trailer hints at a layered story where love survives across generations and memories continue to shape lives long after separation. It kicks off against the backdrop of Partition, using personal relationships to explore larger questions of identity, belonging, and emotional inheritance.
