Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha Trailer OUT: Dev Sharma, Anjali Arora to Headline Ram and Sita’s Divine Saga

The makers of “Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha” unveiled the trailer of the film today, offering a closer glimpse of Shri Ram and Sita’s divine story. It features Dev Sharma as Shri Ram, Anjali Arora as Mata Sita, and Rajniesh Duggall as Ravan. The trailer sheds light on the film’s main message through “Adharm Ke Saamne Dharm Ka Naam, Shri Ram,” with dharma and maryada forming the central themes of the story. Bankrolled by Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Sept. 25.

Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha Trailer Unveiled: What to Expect?

Helmed by Abhishek Singh, the trailer for “Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha” has sparked a buzz online. Through a statement, the director shared, “Every filmmaker will have a different way of approaching the Ramayan. For us, the first question was what feeling we wanted the audience to carry with them. We kept returning to the Katha Bhav, the Prem between Shri Ram and Mata Sita, Hanuman ji’s Bhakti, Lakshman’s Kartavya and the Maryada with which Shri Ram faces every circumstance. That bhav had to remain at the centre of our telling.”  Moreover, some scenes are shot at real locations across the state, allowing the natural terrain to become part of the world of the katha. 

With Kailash Kher, Javed Ali, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Anurag Sharma and Sunil Soni’s music, the film’s background score is nothing short of a masterpiece. Meanwhile, Dev Sharma, who essays the role of Shri Ram shared that for him, Shri Ram’s strength lies in what he can do and in his restraint, compassion, duty, and Maryada. “There is a different responsibility when you portray someone who is not merely a character for people, but someone they revere. Even saying ‘Jai Shri Ram’ creates an aura around you that, in itself, reminds you to stay on the right path,” he concluded. All in all, fans and cinephiles are excited to witness the beauty of the mythological drama on silver screens. Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha will be released in two languages: Hindi and Chhattisgarhi.
