Love Insurance Kompany Release Date OUT: Pradeep Ranganathan’s Sci-fi Rom- Com Arrives in April

After months of postponements and a prolonged release limbo, Pradeep Ranganathan’s much-anticipated film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) has finally locked a release date. On March 19, the makers took to their social media handles to reveal April 3, 2026, as the sci-fi romantic comedy release date. Premiering on Good Friday, the film will finally hit the big screens. 

Starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, the film is set in 2040, in a futuristic version of Chennai where even romance is programmed through apps and measured by technology. Here’s what’s more in store for the movie fanatics. 

Love Insurance Kompany to Hit in Cinemas in April 3 

Director Vignesh Shivan confirmed the release date of Love Insurance Kompany with a new poster. The caption of his post read, “It’s going to be a very Good Friday , we all pray and manifest. April 3rd!” Meanwhile, Kirthi wrote, “There’s so much hard work that has gone into making this film and bringing it to theatres! Have loads of respect for everyone part of this team, it’s a dream project for all of us. We humbly invite you to come celebrate. LOVE INSURANCE KOMPANY in theatres on 3rd April.”

Last year, Love Insurance Kompany and Dude were set to arrive in theatres in October, on the special occasion of Diwali, but the makers of LIK decided to step back and postpone the release, avoiding the clash. The makers then locked March 19. However, the makers shifted the release yet again to avoid a box office clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for GrownUps. The latter was too postponed and will be arriving in theatres on June 4, 2026. 

Love Insurance Kompany has now made it to theatres and will be enjoying a solo release. Alongside Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, the romantic comedy drama also features SJ Suryah, Seeman, Yogi Babu, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra in key roles. The narrative chronicles around a man who believes in old-school true love and crosses paths with Dheema, a tech-savvy woman. As their romance becomes a threat to Suriyan, the CEO of a love app, the young man must fight for his love by taking on corporate forces and a technology-driven approach to relationships.
