Kartik Aaryan And Sreeleela’s Romance Drama to Release This Year, Here’s What Director Anurag Kashyap Confirmed

On Tuesday, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap confirmed that Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s romance drama will hit the theatres in 2026. The film marks the maiden collaboration of Aaryan and Sreeleela with Basu. The yet-to-be-titled film is on track, while fans and movie buffs are eager to know what’s in store for them.

According to the PTI report, director Basu, in a statement, said, “We are very much on schedule, and the shoot is progressing well. It’s a film we believe in deeply, and we are bringing it to audiences this year as intended.” He had earlier told Variety India, “That the majority of the shooting is done is a myth. I’ve not shot more than 45 days for this film. The shooting has just started.” 

Kartik Aaryan And Sreeleela’s Romantic Drama to Release  

Anurag Kashyap has cleared the air on the filming timeline of his romantic film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela in the lead roles. Amid rumors of the film’s postponement, the director shut down all speculation, confirming that the film is currently in production and going as planned. 

For the unversed, in February last year, the romance drama was announced through a promo featuring the lead actors. At the time, the film had been announced for a December 2025 release. However, it was later pushed for several reasons. As of now, the untitled drama is expected to be backed by T-Series with music composed by Pritam.
