Jeevan Ya Bheema Con Box Office Collection: Arshad Warsi’s Comedy Crime Drama Opens Low With Just Rs 19 Lakhs on Day 1

“Jeevan Bheema Yojana,” retitled as “Jeevan Ya Bheema Con,” hit the theatres on Sept.4. Starring Arshad Warsi and Sanjeeda Shaikh in the lead roles, the film failed to impress the audiences. Many of them found the storyline not up to the mark and the jokes lame. As a result, the comedy crime drama collected just Rs 19 lakhs gross in India on the first day itself.

Mirzapur The Movie Box Office Collection Day 1: Pankaj Tripathi’s Gangster Thriller Surpasses Rs 30 Cr

Helmed by Abhishek Dogra, “Jeevan Ya Bheema Con” locked horns with Pankaj Tripathi’s “Mirzapur: The Movie,” which undoubtedly continues to dominate the box office. Jeevan Ya Bheema Con was earlier titled Jeevan Bheema Yojana. However, the film board, CBFC, ordered the makers to change it over similarity to Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Additionally, it also censored obscene visuals and dialogues from the film just three days before its much-awaited release. 

On the first day of its release, the film minted Rs 17 lakhs net in India, bringing its total gross collection to Rs 19 lakhs. Some of the fans and cinephiles took to X (formerly Twitter to share their two cents about the film. Many of them found the drama dragged, whereas a few await its OTT release. Now that the weekend has rolled over, it is interesting to watch the film gain some momentum.

Besides Arashah and Sanjeeda, the film also boasts a stellar cast including Vijay Raaz, Brijendra Kala, Pooja Chopra, Madhu Anand Chandhock, Atul Parchure, Jaywant Wadkar, and Dimple Srivastava.
