Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s Devara: Part 1 released in theatres in September 2024. The Telugu drama, directed by Koratala Siva, didn’t receive positive reviews and even failed to impress the audience. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan as a villain, and the actor was praised for his performance. The first part ended on a cliffhanger, and the makers teased with another part. However, considering the first movie received a lukewarm response, fans wondered about the fate of Part 2.

Is Devara 2 Shelved?

It has been over a year since the first film was released, and there has been no buzz about the sequel. So is Devara 2 shelved? Well, one of the movie’s producers has cleared the air.

Recently, at an event, Sudhakar Mikkilineni was asked if Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s movie is shelved. To this, Sudhakar responded that the shooting for the sequel will start in May this year. He added, “We plan to release it next year, in 2027.” The film will surely be another blockbuster hit.”

Well, that’s quite a relief for fans of Jr NTR who want to see him return on screen as Devara/Vara. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Murali Sharma, Zarina Wahab and Zakir Hussain.
