The holiday season calls for holiday movies. Whether it is Christmas or New Year’s, certain films contribute extensively to elicit the atmosphere. In a recent survey, 2,000 Americans were asked to vote on holiday movies they love to hate. According to research, Home Alone 3 was voted as the most hated festive film of 2025, scoring the highest marks, 31 percent. In the second position stands Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas, with 27% saying they hated the 2000 family comedy. On the third rank sits Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1996 holiday classic Jingle All The Way, followed closely by 2004’s Christmas with the Kranks. So, which Christmas movie did they love? Most Hated and Loved Movies of 2025

The survey asked respondents to vote on which movies released in 2025 were their favorites. According to the poll, the best movie of 2025 was Disney’s live-action take on Lilo & Stitch.  In the second position stands Jurassic World: Rebirth, scoring an impressive 19 percent. Next on their most-loved list was Superman, closely followed by Wicked: For Good

The other most-loved movies are Sinners, Final Destination: Bloodlines, The Conjuring: Last Rites, How to Train Your Dragon, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and The Bad Guys 2. On the other side, Christmas with the Kranks, Fred Claus, The Knight Before Christmas, Deck the Halls, The Christmas Chronicles 2, and The Holiday were the least-loved films of 2025.

The Talker Research surveyed 2,000 Americans. The results were administered and conducted online between December 5th and December 10th, 2025.
