Haiwaan, Starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, Bags UA 16+ Certification from CBFC, Runtime Revealed
Ahead of its much-awaited release on Sept 11, “Haiwaan” has received U/A 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. Starring Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles, the film is the remake of the 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam, which starred Mohanlal. Helmed by Priyadarshan, the film also features Boman Irani, Sharib Hashmi, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles, with Mohanlal making a cameo.
Haiwaan Gets Green Signal from CBFC
On Sept 8, “Haiwaan” bagged a green signal from the CBFC. The film has a runtime of 164.7 minutes, which is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, ensuring it is ready for theatrical release. Notably, this film marks the reunion of the lead actors on the big screen after an 18-year hiatus. The duo last appeared in 2008’s “Tashan” alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan.
As seen in the trailer, Saif essays the role of a visually impaired man caught in a dangerous conspiracy, while Akshay plays a ruthless antagonist. Ever since the intriguing teaser of Haiwaan dropped, audiences have been keenly waiting to see more of the dark and unpredictable world of the film.
Bankrolled by Venkat K. Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under KVN Productions and Thespian Films, the film is expected to be dark, chilling, and packed with tension.
