Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai Release Date Pushed, Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur’s Rom-Com to Hit Cinemas a Week Later

Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde’s romantic entertainer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, originally scheduled on June 5, will hit the theatres a week later. The rom-com has been pushed to June 12, 2026. It is believed that the one-week postponement has been done in the wake of Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’ new release date. Toxic was slated for release on March 19 along with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Considering the rising tensions in the Middle East, the makers decided to push its grand release to June 4.

Directed by David Dhawan, the film has had its release date changed a couple of times. The production banner, Tips Films, took to their official social media handles to announce the new release date.

Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai New Release Date Out 

The upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy film Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde, will now meet the audience on June 12 rather than June 5. The official statement shared by the makers on March 10 read, “We would like to clarify that our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was originally scheduled for release on 5th June, a date we had announced several months ago. However, after recent developments and considering the prevailing situation, we felt it would be more appropriate to shift our release. We strongly believe that it is always healthier for the industry when filmmakers support one another rather than compete unnecessarily on the same date. In that spirit of solidarity, we have decided to move the release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai to 12th June and bring our film to the audiences a week later.” 

Bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai reunites the Dhawan father-son duo pairing for the fourth time after Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No.1. This time, the rom-com is expected to be a vibrant celebration of youth, love, and laughter. While chronicling a love triangle between the leads, the film features high-energy storytelling.
