After a successful run on Prime Video on May 9, the rural comedy web series Gram Chikitsalay has been renewed for a second season. Starring Vinay Pathak and Amol Parashar in the lead roles, the next installment is all geared up to stream from June 23. On Thursday, the OTT streamer took to its Instagram feed to announce Gram Chikitsalay Season 2.
The announcement came with an intriguing poster, Parashar and Pathak, along with other cast members of the series. Set against a rural backdrop, Parashar is surrounded by the key characters. At the bottom, a village clinic and rural elements like a bicycle and medical signage appear. Take a look!
Bankrolled by The Viral Fever (TVF), the Gram Chikitsalay Season 2 is directed by Lalitam Tiwari. Penned by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava, the next chapter will be streaming in Hindi across India and more than 240 countries and territories.
The upcoming series will continue right where the first season concluded. The story follows Dr Prabhat, a role essayed by Amol Parashar, who strives to revive the village’s struggling Primary Health Centre. After earning the trust of sceptical residents, the young doctor finds that medicine is only one part of the job. Bureaucratic hurdles, local dynamics, and the realities of rural life test his resolve at every turn.
Alongside the leads, the web series features Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, and Garima Vikrant Singh in reprising roles, while actor Dinesh Lal Yadav joins the cast. In a nutshell, Gram Chikitsalay S2 looks set to continue that journey, offering another dose of humour, heart, and hard truths from a village where every problem has a story and every solution comes with complications.
