GDN OTT Release Date: When And Where to Watch R Madhavan’s Biographical Drama Online?

After a long wait, R Madhavan’s GDN is all geared up for its OTT debut on Netflix on Sept. 4, 2026. The biographical drama was released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, on Aug 7. The film opened to positive social media reactions, with many fans and cinephiles applauding Madhavan’s commanding screen presence and compelling portrayal of pioneer Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu.

On Wednesday, Netflix took to its official social media handles to announce the streaming of G.D.N starting from Sept. 04. The streamer shared a poster and wrote, “Oru manushan oda vaazhkai indha naatu oda varalaaru” (One man’s life is this place’s history). 

Helmed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the film grossed Rs 6.32 crore at the worldwide box office. Besides R Madhavan, GDN boasts a stellar cast including Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, and others in key roles. The film is an inspiring biopic drawn from a remarkable chapter in the life of G. D. Naidu, a legendary inventor, industrial visionary, and one of India’s greatest innovators. It is set against a rapidly transforming India, following Naidu’s relentless pursuit of innovation and the fierce opposition he faces from powerful authorities determined to suppress his vision.
