Farzi 2 in Works? Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi’s Crime-Thriller to Return With Season 2

February 10, 2026, marked Farzi’s third anniversary. On the special day, Shahid Kapoor and director Raj and DK announced the making of Farzi 2. Starring Shahid and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles, the much-loved crime-thriller series returns with a second season. Not just that, a few days ago, Shahid Kapoor teased the audience by sharing a glimpse of his new look, hinting that he will soon begin shooting for Farzi 2. Reprising his role as Sunny, the actor lately shared a photo of himself and Raj and DK, officially announcing the sequel. 

The blockbuster Amazon Prime Video series was created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. The makers confirmed that production for the sequel is underway on the social media platform.

Farzi 2 Announced! Shahid Kapoor, Raj, and DK Share Good News

Shahid and the creators took to their official X handle and shared a picture of a huge stack of counterfeit banknotes. The caption of the post read, “Round 2 in progress. Farzi,” read the text on the poster.  Raj and DK shared the image and wrote, “Second batch…. WIP… #Farzi.” No sooner did they announce the second batch of the thriller than fans and the global audience were jubilant. 

Additionally, Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram stories and shared a happy picture with both of them. He wrote, “The fakers are back at it @rajanddk.” Earlier this month, Shahid flaunted his new hairstyle, reminiscing about Sunny’s appearance from Season 1. He captioned the image “SUNNY days back soon…”. The post was a clear sign that the actor was preparing to step back into one of his most cherished roles. Widely acclaimed for its gripping storyline and captivating performances, the Prime Video series features Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, and Kavya Thapar in pivotal roles.
