After successfully completing its box office run, “EPIC: First Semester” is all geared up for its digital debut. As announced by the makers, the romance drama will premiere on Netflix on Oct. 9. The film hit the theatres on Sept. 11, opening to mixed reviews. Fans and movie buffs praised Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s performances, while a few found the uber-cool love story dragged. Now, the film is ready for its digital debut; those who missed watching it on the silver screen can binge-watch it from the comfort of their homes. 

EPIC: First Semester OTT Release Date Unveiled

Starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead roles, “EPIC” is a fun, breezy romance saga released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. On the first day, the film raked in Rs 2.45 crore gross. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, as of now, it has collected Rs 9.03 crore gross in India and earned Rs 2.65 crore overseas. This brings its total worldwide collections to Rs 11.68 crore.

Besides the leads, the film also features Sivaji, Vasuki, Srinivas Gavireddy, and Kalyan Shankar in pivotal roles. “EPIC” is a feel-good romance story of Rohan, played by Anand, a young boy from a middle-class family who goes to London for higher studies. He tries to meet the expectations of his family and finds himself entering an unknown world, with new people and experiences. As he naviates through his new life, he meets Kadali, and his life takes a different turn. Written and directed by Aditya Haasan, it marks the second collaboration of Anand and Vaishanavi after their blockbuster “Baby.” As “EPIC” nears the completion of its box office run, it is set to arrive on Netflix on Oct. 9.
