Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 1: Mohanlal’s Much-Loved Thriller Mints Over Rs 15 Crore Net

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 welcomed fans and movie enthusiasts in theatres starting from May 21, 2026. It is safe to say that the Drishyam franchise has kept the audience hooked until its third installment. On the first day, the thriller drama collected Rs 15.85 crore net and Rs 18.37 crore gross in India across 5,506 shows. 

For the unversed,  the third instalment was released on Mohanlal’s 66th birthday. Though it garnered mixed reviews, the film continues to rake in money. Here’s a closer look at the book office collection.

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 generated significant buzz at the box office from the very first day of its highly anticipated release. In India, the film earned over Rs 18 crore, while it grossed a total of Rs 25 crore overseas, bringing its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 43.37 crore. Now, all eyes are on the weekend. Released in theatres in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada versions, the major contribution comes from the Malayalam version, closely followed by the Telugu and Tamil dubbed versions. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film is currently being played across 2,635 shows nationwide. It collected Rs 4.12 crore net in India by 4 pm on Friday, taking its total India net collection to Rs 19.97 crore, while the India gross has climbed to Rs 23.23 crore.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 has gained significant momentum at the box office. It has hit a milestone by emerging as the second biggest Malayalam opener worldwide. The film stands behind only L2: Empuraan, which holds the top spot with Rs 67.50 crore.
