Dacoit OTT Release: When and Where to Watch Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s Action Drama

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s crime thriller Dacoit: A Love Story is all set to arrive on a digital platform after successful runs at the theatres. Released on April 10, the bilingual action romantic drama was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu. Blending action, romance, and suspense, the film received a mixed response at the theatres. However, it has generated strong interest for its digital debut. 

Starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles, Dacoit: A Love Story will make its digital debut on May 8, 2026, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The Hindi version of the film will be released later.

Helmed by Shaneil Deo and bankrolled by Supriya Yarlagadda under the banner of Annapurna Studios, Dacoit follows Hari, played by Adivi Sesh, a young Dalit man, who falls for an upper-caste girl named Saraswati, portrayed by Mrunal Thakur. However, the societal pressure and consequences led Saraswati into an arranged marriage. As the narrative unfolds, the duo reunite unexpectedly and engage in high-stakes heists, robbery, and violence. The sequences are packed with intense action, romance, and emotional conflicts. 

The global audience will now be able to witness the magic of the film on digital platforms starting from May 8, only on Prime Video. For the unversed, the film was theatrically released on April 10th, 2026, but was originally scheduled to hit the theatres on March 19. However, the makers decided to push the release date to avoid a box office clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge. All in all, it received a decent response from the audience and holds an IMDb 8.0/10 rating.
