Dacoit Box Office Collection Day 1: Adivi Sesh And Mrunal Thakur’s Action Thriller Rakes Over Rs 6 Crore

After months of waiting, Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha has finally hit the silver screens on April 10, 2026. Bearing the heat of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the romantic action thriller drama managed to rake in over Rs 6 crore gross in India. It is also interesting to note that the film was originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 19. To avoid the box office clash, the makers decided to push its release to April 10. However, the bilingual locked horns with Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Kompany (LIK). Both films earned over Rs 6 crore on Day 1.

Dacoit Box Office Collection Day 1: Take a Closer Look at the Numbers

According to Sacnilk, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha earned a net of Rs 6.50 crore by running across 3,800 shows. This brings the gross collections of the film to Rs 7.57 crore in India. On the other hand, the action film grossed a total of Rs 6.00 crore overseas, bringing its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 13.57 crore. Regarding the occupancy rate, the film experienced an occupancy of 26.4 percent. 

Moreover, the film earned Rs 5.6 crore net from the Telugu version across 1,883 shows, while the Hindi version contributed only Rs 90 lakh despite playing in more shows, numbering 1,917. In a nutshell, the romance action thriller received mixed reviews from fans and critics. 

For the unversed, Dacoit chronicles the saga of a man who escapes from prison to seek revenge against his former girlfriend. With a distinctive narrative path, it discovers various revenge story elements. Headlined by Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, the leads became partners for robbery operations and must deal with unexpected developments. It is indeed intriguing to watch them deal with internal battles between their inner struggles. Shaneil Deo’s first directorial project also stars Prakash Raj and Anurag Kashyap as value addition.
