Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumar in the lead roles, “Daayra” has finally hit the theatres today. Early viewers have praised the film’s mature storytelling in addition to the lead actor’s stellar performances. Those who witnessed the cop thriller on the first day first show took to their social media timelines to share two cents about the film. Audiences not only appreciated Meghna Gulzaar’s direction but also applauded the film’s well-crafted, thought-provoking, and serious subject matter.

Prithviraj essays the role of DCP Raman Kumar, while Kareena portrays the character of DCP Ajooni Kohli. The two of them represent different approaches to justice, making their conflict one of the central elements of the story.

Speaking about the film’s content-driven narrative, an X user rated “Daayra” 4.5 out of 5 stars describing the the thriller as “impactful,” “raw” and “powerful.” Most of the film critics who watched the film a day prior too were impressed by the film’s distinctive theme around m*rder and r*pe.

A Kareen Kapoor fan was impressed by her commanding screen presence. Meanwhile, another user had a different perspective. “The film takes too long to build momentum and the screenplay lacks the tension needed to keep you invested. There are some good performances, especially Prithviraj, who once again proves his acting range. Kareena has moments, but her character never gets the impact one expects from her.“
