Daayra, Love Lottery, VIBE, Lust Stories 3, & More: New Films And OTT Releases This Week

September is packed with back-to-back new films and OTT releases that will make you go ga ga. From thriller, crime, and family drama to romance and comedy, there’s something for everyone. So, update your weekend watchlist straight away and get set to binge on popcorn and snacks. 

Below is the list of the most anticipated new films and OTT releases premiering this week from Sept. 14 to Sept. 19. 

1. Daayra 

Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles, Daayra is all set to hit the theatres on Sept. 18, 2026. Setting the tone for a gritty face-off, the makers have left the audience intrigued since its teaser and trailer release. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the thriller follows a tense clash of ethics within the system after a high-profile incident. 

2. Love Lottery

Helmed by Arvind Pandey, Love Lottery is a romantic drama arriving in your nearest theatres on Sept. 18, 2026. Featuring a stellar cast including Akshay Oberoi, Heli Daruwala, Indira Krishnan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Hemant Pandey, and Arshdep Ssandhu, it tells the tale of a modern city couple whose marriage begins to fall apart amid mistrust, betrayal, and societal pressure. As the story unfolds, the complexities of relationships and social expectations surface.

3. VIBE

VIBE is an action-thriller comedy starring Kunal Khemu, Preity Zinta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Vanshika Dhir, and more in key roles. Scheduled to premiere on Sept. 18, 2026, it follows the story of two ordinary and hapless friends whose simple lives take an unexpected turn when they accidentally stumble upon a chaotic mission to protect their country. 

4. Lust Stories 3

Features four unconnected short stories by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, Vishal Bhardwaj; the third installment of the anthology stars Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Gurfateh Pirzada, Sana Thampi, and Ali Fazal. The stories explore the themes of love, desire, intimacy, vulnerability, and the complex realities of modern relationships.

5. Resident Evil 

Featuring Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, Paul Walter Hauser, and others, Resident Evil is a sci-fi horror slated to arrive in cinemas on Sept. 18, 2026. It chronicles the saga of Bryan, a medical courier working a snowy winter night, who is tasked with delivering sensitive medical cargo to Raccoon City General Hospital. When a sudden viral outbreak throws the city into chaos, Bryan finds himself navigating a dangerous situation while trying to complete his delivery.

6. Papa Yaar by Zakir Khan
