HBO Max took to their official social media handles to announce the making of “Crazy Rich Asians Series,” which will feature eight episodes of nearly one hour. The main cast, including Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu, and Henry Golding, will be reprising their roles. The series will begin production in 2027.
The series will kick off after the events of the 2018 blockbuster romantic comedy. It is indeed a milestone moment for the makers who are going to transition from silver screens to television.

Adele Lim, who co-wrote the 2018 film, will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Author Kevin Kwan, director Jon M. Chu, and producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson will also executive produce the series.
Crazy Rich Asians, which was released in 2018, became a major box office success, raking in more than $230 million globally, and drew rave reviews. The original film chronicled the saga of Rachel Chu as she discovered the extraordinary wealth and complicated family dynamics surrounding her boyfriend, Nick Young.
