Country Music Icon Dolly Parton Passes Away at 80 After a Brief Battle With Cancer

Legendary singer-songwriter Dolly Parton passed away after facing a brief battle with cancer. After the news of her sad demise, musicians, actors, and politicians began paying tribute to the icon with flags lowered to half in her honor. Dolly Parton’s publicist Marcel Pariseau told CNN, “After bravely facing a brief battle with cancer, Dolly departed her Earthly life today at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center surrounded by loved ones.” 

Dolly Parton Breathed Her Last at 80 

The singer’s nephew Bryan Seaver also shared a video statement mentioning that the legendary artist passes away peacefully in Nashville on Tuesday at age 80, her nephew Bryan Seaver announced in a video statement. As shared by the family, her funeral will be private and intimate.
