After a few weeks of waiting, the trailer for Cocktail 2 has finally been unveiled, leaving fans ecstatic and intrigued. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, the trailer offers a glimpse into the complicated love triangle, reflecting on what happens when love gets entangled with friendship- a threesome. Set in the Cocktail universe, the film promises to be a blend of romance, friendship, and emotional drama. 

Helmed by Homi Adajania, the sequel to 2012’s Cocktail, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, is all set to invite movie buffs and fans to theatres on June 19, 2026. Here’s what to expect from its follow-up!

Cocktail 2 Trailer Unveiled: What to Expect from Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna’s Complicated Affair? 

On June 2, Maddock Film released the much-anticipated trailer of Cocktail 2 on their YouTube channel. The nearly three-minute glimpse established a narrative of chaos, confusion, and heartbreak among three friends named Kunal, played by Shahid Kapoor, Diya, essayed by Rashmika Mandanna, and Ally, portrayed by Kriti Sanon. 

The trio is spotted travelling together, exploring their friendship and the different dynamics of their relationship, including the suggestion of a threesome. Kriti Sanon’s character appeared to be flirting with Shahid Kapoor while he is involved with Rashmika Mandanna. In a nutshell, the narrative chronicles the conflict between the two female characters as they compete over Shahid Kapoor.

Penned by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan, the second installment is expected to be high on emotions, sentiments, love, drama, melodrama, and a quirky sense of humour. Social media reactions have been mixed. Some praised Rashmika and Kriti’s screen presence, while others felt Shahid Kapoor looked out of place in the setup.
