CM Devendra Fadnavis Tells Akshay Kumar the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Scene He’d Add in a Maharashtra Film

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is quite fond of movies. Recently, in a chat with Akshay Kumar, he opened up about the kind of movie he would make on Maharashtra. In fact, Devendra even shared what the first scene would be, featuring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the same chat, Fadnavis shared an intriguing way to eat oranges.

On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar interacted with CM Devendra Fadnavis at the FICCI Frames event in Mumbai. At the event, the Jolly LLB 3 star asked Fadnavis if he were to direct a movie in Maharashtra. What would it be? Fadnavis revealed that he would make a movie that would make the state proud. About the first scene, he shared, “It would be of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ascending the throne for the coronation ceremony. It would be a proud moment making Swarajya.”

In the same interview, the Maha CM revealed that Anil Kapoor’s Nayak film fascinated him a lot. Fadnavis pointed out how he also has some problems with the 2003 film. He stated, “As the CM for a day, Anil Kapoor does so many things in a day. Whenever I meet people, they refer to the film Nayak, saying, ‘You should work like Nayak.’ If he can change things in a day…”

Furthermore, the Khiladi star asked Fadnavis how he eats oranges, as he is from Nagpur. To this end, the CM shared his ‘new way’ to eat oranges. Fadnavis revealed that he eats oranges without peeling them; instead, he cuts them in half and adds salt to the talk. “You will savour it with different tastes,” shared the CM, as reported by the Indian Express.
