Director Mapuskar expressed his excitement through a press release, calling it both thrilling and daunting. He says, “I am excited to join hands with Vikram and Vijay to explore storytelling in a completely new dimension and eternally thankful to be given this opportunity.” Moreover, he stated that the film tells the story of Lord Hanuman, who is timeless, filled with strength, devotion, and purpose. Mapuskar considers it a rare opportunity to helm a film, honouring India’s spiritual heritage. Not just that, he believes that the one-of-a-kind project pioneers the future of filmmaking.
As revealed by the makers, the film is developed as India’s first AI-powered theatrical film. It is a creation of over 50 engineers from Galleri5, the technology arm of Collective Artists Network, working alongside cultural scholars, literary experts, and writers who strived to maintain the authenticity of the plot and overall narrative. Nonetheless, cinema lovers can’t wait for its worldwide theatrical release, slated for Hanuman Jayanti on April 2, 2026.
