Bridgerton Spinoff to Chronicle Lady Violet’s Saga, Netflix Shares Major Update

Dearest Reader, this author is incredibly ecstatic to share a major update. Netflix has announced a Bridgerton spinoff focusing on Lady Violet’s saga. The limited series will follow the love story of young Violet and her eventual husband, Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, the parents of Bridgerton’s eight beloved siblings.

Bridgerton Spinoff to Focus on Young Lady Violet’s Love Story

Similar to “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” the upcoming spinoff series will chronicle the early life of a young Lady Violet and  her romance with Viscount Edmund Bridgerton. Sharing the letter from Lady Whistledown, the caption of the post read, “Prepare yourselves dear readers, for this author has some rather large news to share…” Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Nardini are the writers, showrunners, and executive producers. 

The spinoff series is yet to be titled, and is being referred to as the “untitled Bridgerton project.” Meanwhile, the filming of “Bridgerton Season 5” is underway. It follows Violet’s introverted third daughter, Francesca, played by Hannah Dodd, in her second-chance romance with bold heiress Michaela, portrayed by Masali Baduza.
