Abhishek Bachchan Finally Met His Dream Black Lady: Wins His First Filmfare for ‘I Want To Talk’

“Jahan aap pohche chhalange lagakar, vahan main bhi pohcha magar dheere dheere”
These lines from the poetry of Ram Darsh Mishra depicted Abhishek Bachchan’s journey to filmfare, when he won his first filmfare for “ I Want To Talk”. Abhishek bagged the best actor award and it was a really emotional moment for him as it took 25 years in the industry to make this dream come true.

Abhishek Bachchan made his debut in the year 2000 with JP Dutta’s Refugee. Then he created a decent space in the industry. His remarkable performance was witnessed in films like Guru, Ravan, Delhi6, Sarkaar, Dhoom, Ludo, Ghoomar, Dasvi & finally Shoojit Sircar’s directed award winning “I Want To Talk”. This film is a biographical drama based on the real life of Arjun Sen, a cancer survivor with an endless number of surgeries with the goal of surviving anyhow.
Abhishek slipped into the skin of the character so brilliantly. The man who loves to talk but bravely and silently bears the painful battle of survival for his daughter.

The moment he received the award , his emotions were apparently visible as he had a lump in his voice. He shared his feelings about how many times he practiced this acceptance speech but got the opportunity after 25 years.
Maybe it’s late but he made it for the absolutely deserving project.
