Bluefly to Star Priyanka Chopra Jonas Alongside Russell Crowe in the Sci-Fi Action Thriller

There’s yet another film in Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s pipeline, which has left the audience dog-eared. The B-town diva will be starring alongside Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe in the sci-fi action thriller “Bluefly.” Directed by Nimród Antal, Priyanka confirmed the exciting news by sharing a report on Instagram with the caption that read, ‘Onto the next…’ No sooner did she share the update than fans and followers expressed their excitement for her first collaboration with Crowe.

As per reports, “Bluefly” will go on the floors later this year on Australia’s Gold Coast. It will also be presented to international buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival market in September. The film is expected to be a heart-pounding entertainer packed with a complex story and unexpected twists.

The official synopsis of “Bluefly” reads, “Deep in the Congo, a grieving UN translator is pulled onto a black-ops mission to recover a downed aircraft that isn’t supposed to exist. As a Special Operations team pushes upriver through militia-held territory, the recovery becomes a descent — and the closer they get to the craft, the clearer it becomes that they were never meant to bring it home.”

Penned by David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlyle Eubank, the film follows the saga of a grieving UN translator who joins a secret military mission deep in the Congo to recover a crashed aircraft. As the team gets closer to the wreckage, they realise the mission is much more dangerous than expected. All in all, fans await more details about the release date and rest of the cast.
