Raghav Juyal’s “Bhai Tera Star Hai” has made a slow start at the box office. It reportedly entered cinemas with limited pre-release buzz. Not to forget, the comedy-drama has clashed with Hollywood biggie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” starring Tom Holland. Released on July 30, the film opened with Rs 25 lakhs net.
Reportedly, the film was made on a budget of Rs. 15 to 25 crore. Due to poor initial reviews and tough competition at the box office, the film surely needs a miraculous jump at the box office over the weekend.
Helmed and written by Vivek B Agrawal, the film also stars Niharika NM, Sanjay Kapoor, Niki Walia, Barkha Singh, Vivan Bhatena, Parvathy Omanakuttan, and others in pivotal roles. The comedy-drama chronicles the journey of Ajay Singh, played by Raghav Juyal, an ambitious and delusional aspiring actor trying to make it big in London. Operating on the philosophy of fake it till you make it, Ajay finds himself drowning in debt and tangled in a series of chaotic, hilarious mishaps alongside his friends.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, “Bhai Tera Star Hai” has collected a net of Rs 7 lakhs by running across 451 shows on day 2. On Day 1, it minted 25 lakhs with an occupancy rate of 8 percent. This brings the total gross collection in India to 38 lakhs. Nonetheless, the film opens 80 percent lower than Raghav Juyal’s previous film “Kill.”
