Batwara 1947 is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on Partition Day, Aug. 14, 2026. Starring Shabana Azmi, Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh in key roles, the drama has already ignited excitement among fans and cinephiles. What has sparked a wave yet again is the release of its new song titled Kahaan Chale Gaye Ho Ram. It is a heartfelt ode to a mother’s endless love and hope. 

The film is set against the backdrop of India’s Partition. Moreover, it promises to tell a deeply emotional story of love, sacrifice, and resilience. With the release of the new song, anticipation has continued to soar.

On July 22, the makers unveiled Batwara 1947’s new song, ‘Kahaan Chale Gaye Ho Ram ‘, wherein mother’s love, longing, and unwavering faith take center stage. Sharing the video on social media platforms, the makers wrote, “Pukaar ek Maa ki.”

The heart-warming song beautifully captures the emotional core of the film. It opens with Shabana Azmi immersed in an intense yet graceful prayer to Lord Ram, while Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta stand behind her. As the music video unfolds, it gradually transitions to visuals of a grand celebration. It is composed, produced, and arranged by the legendary A.R. Rahman, with heartfelt lyrics penned by Javed Akhtar. Talking about the moving vocals, the credit goes to Anuradha Paudwal and Shaan. 

Kahaan Chale Gaye Ho Ram is a deeply stirring musical experience. It perfectly blends melody with emotion, offering a glimpse into the film’s powerful yet emotional narrative.
