Batwara 1947 has piqued the audience’s curiosity to the zenith. Since the announcement, the action-adventure has kept fans and cinephiles hooked. Now that the makers have unmasked the character posters of the lead actors, they can’t help but wait until the film hits the theatrical screens. Scheduled to release on August 14, the partition drama is helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi. 

Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, Batwara stars Sunny, Karan Deol, and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. Yesterday, the makers kick-started their promotions by unveiling the first poster. The following day, the character posters for the entire lead cast were released. Take a look.

Batwara 1947: Character Posters OUT

Aamir Khan Productions took to it official social media timelines to share the character posters. The caption read, “In a world torn apart, their story was a testament to courage. Meet the people who lived through it all.” No sooner were the posters out than fans and movie enthusiasts expressed their two cents in the comment section. Previously titled Lahore 1947, the film also features Khhushi Hajare and Kanikka Kapur in the primary cast. 

As per reports, the teaser might be revealed later this week. According to an official statement by the makers, the film tells the story of a hero who chose courage in times of hatred and fear. For the unversed, the much-awaited drama marks the reunion of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi after three decades, following iconic 90s hits like Ghayal (1990), Damini (1993), and Ghatak (1996), and more. Moreover, the music for the film has been composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
