Awarapan 2 Teaser OUT: Emraan Hashmi Returns as Shivam With a Renewed Purpose

After almost two years of anticipation, Emraan Hashmi is all geared up to step into the role of Shivam once again. On June 29, Vishesh Films has dropped the first teaser for Awarapan 2, offering fans a glimpse into the next chapter of the brooding anti-hero’s journey. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the sequel is set to hit cinemas on August 14.

To refresh your memory, the 2007 release was a box-office disappointment. Helmed by Mohit Suri, gained a strong cult following thanks to its story, performances, and music. On the 19th anniversary of Awarapan‘s release, a new teaser has signalled that a follow-up is on the way. The Awarapan 2 teaser has revealed that Emraan Hashmi has returned as Shivam Pandit. 

The teaser picks up from where the 2007 film seemingly ended, with Shivam dead after a violent gunfight and reunited with his beloved Aaliyah (Shriya Saran) in the afterlife. However, Awarapan 2 rewrites this ending, revealing that Shivam has somehow survived and returned to Earth to attend to unfinished business.
