Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection: Emran Hashmi’s Romance Drama Surpasses 98 Cr After Opening Weekend

The first weekend has rolled over, and Emraan Hashmi’s “Awarapan 2” has continued its dominance at the box office. The romance-adventure sequel opened with a net of Rs 22 crore in India on Aug 14, 2026. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has raked in a total net of Rs 82.34 crore so far. On Day 4, it is currently running across 3,489 shows and has collected a net of Rs 59 lakhs, bringings it total gross collection to Rs 98.80 crore.

Starring Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patni, and Shabana Azmi, the 2007 sequel of “Awarapan 2” was clearly the winner in the Independence Day weekend race, raking in Rs 40.50 crore. In comparison, the Tamil-language drama “Vishwanath & Sons” collected Rs 26 crore, Sunny Deol’s “Batwara 1947” earned Rs 16.20 crore, while the Hollywood action-adventure “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” reached the Rs 12 crore mark. The DC movie made Rs 6.30 crore.

According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film is on the verge of emerging as the third-highest opening-weekend grosser of 2026 among Hindi films. Following “Dhurandhar 2” and “Border 2”, it has topped three opening-weekend spots that are occupied by sequels this year. Helmed by Nitin Kakkar and bankrolled by Vishesh Bhatt under the banner of Vishesh Films, the film is still creating a buzz online.
