Avengers Doomsday Trailer 2: Chris Hemsworth Returns as Thor, But This Time He’s a Sad Dad, Know WHY!
Avengers: Doomsday trailers are assembling and how! After the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth comes in as Thor. The fresh trailer of the most anticipated Marvel movies is now exclusively playing in theaters with the screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The second trailer has replaced the first one that had been streaming since December 18, 2025.
The second trailer centers around the next character, Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth. But grey clouds seem to be floating above his head. As the trailer begins, he is seen walking through the woods, praying that he will return to his daughter, Love.
Avengers Doomsday Trailer 2 Out
Thor is the focal point of the second Avengers: Doomsday trailer. He is spotted kissing the forehead of his daughter, Love, as she lies in her bed. He prays, “Father, all my life, I have answered every call, to honor, duty, to war. But now, fate has given me something I never sought: A child. A life untouched by the storm.”
The somber trailer shows the Avenger in a complete dad mode. He pleads to the Father for strength to defeat an unnamed enemy and to return home to his child, Love. Thor says, “Defeat one more enemy, and return home to her, not as a warrior but as warmth, to teach her not battle, but stillness — the kind I never knew.“
She was introduced in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder as the daughter of the villain, Gorr, played by Christian Bale. At the end of the movie, Gorr passed away, and Thor adopted Love as his own child. The film concluded on the promise that Thor and Love would go on adventures together. Did you know the character of Love was played by Chris Hemsworth’s actual daughter?
Considering the two trailers, Avengers: Doomsday may follow a theme of parenthood, as both of the teasers revolve around the Avengers’ relationships with their children. Such character-centered teasers have set the tone and a narrative of the film pretty well. What remained consistent were the end-credits teaser from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where the kids of the Marvel Universe were in big trouble. Two more trailers of Avengers: Doomsday are yet to be unveiled, whereas the film will hit the theatres on December 18, 2026.
