Avatar: Fire and Ash has finally completed its theatrical run, and now it is all geared up to hit the digital screens. Directed by James Cameron, the action fantasy film is hailed as the 16th-highest-grossing film. Released in theatres on December 19, 2025, it grossed over $1.49 billion worldwide. The film will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting on June 24.

Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet in lead roles, Avatar: Fire and Ash raked in around 89.16 million dollars in its first week of domestic debut. After two weeks, the epic surpassed the billion-dollar milestone.
Continuing the dark and intense region of Pandora, it narrates the saga of Jake Sully and his family after a year of The Way of Water. The family navigates and grapples with the tragedy of losing their son, Neteyam. Amid the hardship, they are met with the ruthless Na’vi clan, the ash people. The aggressors aid Quaritch and capture the Sully family in return for weapons.
As per reports, 2009’s Avatar became the highest-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office. It still holds that record, with a lifetime gross of over $2.9 billion. Its sequel, Avatar: The Way of the Water, released in 2022, grossed $2.3 billion at the box office. After the buzz of the third installment, fans and movie buffs await the fourth chapter, which is expected to be released in 2029, and a fifth in 2031. As of now, fans can binge-watch the third part on Disney+ starting on June 24, 2026.
