Ana Huang’s ‘Gods of the Game’ Soccer Romance Book Series Gets 3-Film Adaptation at Amazon

Ana Huang’s steamy trilogy, ‘Gods of the Game’ is all geared up to be adapted into a 3-part film at Amazon. The soccer romance book series includes three novels, namely The Striker, The Defender, and The Keeper. The first two series are already out, while the last book is set to be launched on October 27, 2026. The series follows an interconnected series of steamy romances within the high-powered world of English Premier League soccer.

For the unversed, the best-selling author’s popular Twisted series is also currently being adapted for Netflix. On April 9, 2026, Variety announced that the author’s hit Gods of the Game book series will be adapted into a film trilogy for Amazon MGM Studios. Huang also shared the happy news with her readers through her newsletter.

Ana Huang’s ‘Gods of the Game’ Gets Page-to-Screen Treatment

To date, An Huang has published 15 books across four series and has sold more than 27 million copies worldwide. Huang is set to publish two more books this year, “King of Gluttony,” the sixth book in her “Kings of Sin” series, on April 28, followed by “The Keeper,” the third book in the “Gods of the Game” series, on October 27. 

With Gods of the Game being adapted by Amazon, the author said, “I’m beyond excited to partner with Amazon MGM Studios and Premeditated Productions on these films and even more excited to see the Blackcastle world come to life.” The films will be produced for Audible, with Huang and Marshall Lewy to serve as executive producers. The cast has not yet been finalized. The author has requested that fans and the global audience refrain from paying attention to rumors and wait for the official announcements from her or Amazon.

Huang is the bestselling author of four series. Her ‘Twisted series’ includes novels Twisted Love, Twisted Games, Twisted Hate, and Twisted Lies. While the ‘King of the Sin’ Series includes King of Wrath, King of Pride, King of Greed, King of Sloth, King of Envy, and King of Gluttony.
